CLASS DEFINITION
“Yoga Citta Vritti Nirodham”
Yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind.
These sessions explore the essence of Hatha Yoga through the understanding of psychosomatic oneness — the idea that the body and mind are deeply interconnected aspects of the same reality. Through conscious movement, breathwork, and self-awareness, the practice guides participants toward inner stillness and clarity.
Each class is thoughtfully structured to create a balanced and meditative journey. The sequence includes centering, stretching, warming up, balancing postures, backward bends, forward bends, and concludes with deep relaxation in savasana. Emphasis is placed on mindful breathing, alignment, and cultivating awareness within the body.
Hatha - Intermediate
“Tad Drashta Svarupe Avasthanam”
Then the seer abides in its own true nature.
These intermediate sessions are designed to help practitioners experience the presence of the “Drashta” — the inner witness. Beginning with fluid movements and breath-led flow to release restlessness and energize the body, the practice gradually transitions into deeper, longer-held postures approached with silence and awareness.
The focus is not only on physical strength and flexibility, but also on cultivating steadiness, stillness, and inner observation. By remaining present within each posture, practitioners develop a deeper connection with themselves, allowing the mind to quieten and the witnessing self to emerge naturally.
